Fundamentalism

Now, if I were to posit to you that an actively and openly homosexual synthpop group, well known for supporting libertarian leftwing causes and performing numerous benefit shows for Stonewall, Clause 28, Human Rights, Homelessness, Shelter, Liberty and so forth, who have worked with well known gay artists such as Liza Minelli, Dusty Springfield, Bruce Weber, Derek Jarman, Ian McKellen, released and recorded aspirational anthems and torch songs including cover versions from musicals, the Village People, Noel Coward, an obscure song called "Homosexuality", and even a song that posited that Eminem could be gay, and released a 12" single with a giant penis on the cover, were to release a CD in conjunction with a newspaper... what's the least likely newspaper you could think of?

The least likely? Why, that would be the homophobic, immigrant-baiting, xenophobic, everythingophobic, Daily Heil.

The same Daily Heil that is giving away "Pet Shop Boys : 25 Years Of Hits" on Sunday.

Yep, that opened my eyes too; what were they thinking of? Oh, wait. Parlophone have their new album to flog in a couple of weeks...
